A League of Their Own
| |
| A fictionalized (but reportedly accurate) version of the first year of the All American girls Professional Baseball League. With Rosie O'Donnell, Madonna and Geena Davis as star players, the League is in great hands. When women's baseball comes back, you can bet there won't be "charm school" to go along with spring training! |

Annie O
| When the high school basketball coach sees Annie playing hoops with her two brothers, he's impressed. Since there's no girls' basketball team at Washington High School, he suggests that Annie go out for the boys varsity team. The same one her brother is on. It takes the team a little while to get used to its new member but Annie "Sure shot" Rojas never seems to miss. The movie's a little predictable but it's fun, and the good news is that the next year the school gets a girls varsity team! |

In the Game
| In the Game" documents a year in the life of Stanford's women's basketball team. It's a behind-the-scenes look at the sweat and tears that it took for these women to go from the bottom of the league to the absolute top. Coached by Tara VanDerveer who went on to coach the gold-medal-winning Olympic team, the intensity of these players is exciting and as close as you'll get without being there. |
